The Supplier Catalog Bottleneck
Every retailer knows the pain. A supplier sends a 1,000-row CSV with bare-bones data — SKUs, titles, costs. Getting any of it live online takes weeks of manual research, copywriting, image hunting, and data entry. While you list, competitors sell.

The math compounds quickly. At a conservative $4.35 in average daily revenue per listed product, a 1,000-SKU catalog that takes 12 weeks to list manually leaves roughly $365,000 on the table in lost revenue during the listing delay alone — before you account for missed seasonal windows or competitors listing the same products first.

How Supplier-to-Store Works
How It Works
Upload Your Supplier CSV
Drop in a CSV, Excel file, or connect a supplier feed. The platform ingests raw supplier data — SKUs, titles, costs, barcodes, whatever the supplier provides — and normalizes messy formats automatically. No reformatting, no manual field mapping required.
AI Enriches Every Product, Then QA Gates Catch What's Missing
For each row, the AI runs a 4-source research pipeline (brand stores, distributor catalogs, competitor listings, web search), writes a unique SEO product description, builds an image gallery, estimates shipping dimensions, and auto-detects variants. Configurable quality gates flag products with low image quality, missing specs, or uncertain variant groupings — so you only review what actually needs a human eye.
Push to Shopify / BigCommerce / WooCommerce
Approve in a streamlined review queue, then publish with one click. The platform handles collection mapping, tag assignment, pricing rules, inventory quantities, variant parent-child relationships, and SEO metadata. Products land exactly where they should in your store — no manual data entry into admin panels.

What the Platform Does
Eight capabilities that compress 6–12 weeks of catalog work into hours. Every step is configurable, every output is reviewable, and nothing goes live without your sign-off.
Bulk CSV / Excel / Feed Import
Suppliers send data in every shape imaginable. The platform handles the mess — inconsistent column names, mixed units, missing fields, extra whitespace, weird encodings — and maps it all to a clean product schema.
- •Auto field mapping: SKU, title, cost, barcode, MPN, weight, supplier-specific columns.
- •Unit normalization: imperial / metric, currency, packaging quantities.
- •Direct supplier feeds: connect persistent feeds for catalogs that update monthly.
4-Source Product Research
AI searches brand manufacturer stores, distributor catalogs, competitor listings, and the broader web. Every source is scored for reliability and recency before the data is merged.
AI-Written SEO Copy
Unique, search-optimized product descriptions built from real research data — not generic templates. Tone, length, and style guidelines are configurable per store.
Image Discovery + Gallery
Finds product images from manufacturer sites and authorized brand catalogs, scores each for quality and resolution, then assembles a ranked gallery so the best visual leads.
Dimension Estimation
Shipping dimensions and weight estimated from images and specs using AI visual analysis — accurate enough for shipping cost calc without measuring thousands of products by hand.
Smart Variant Detection
Automatically groups same-item-different-size/color/material into parent-child relationships — cleaning up the messy “every variant is a new row” supplier format.
Human Quality Gates
You set the rules for what’s ready to publish. Products that pass go straight to the publish queue — products that don’t get flagged for a focused human review. You stay in control without reviewing every single SKU.
- •Image quality threshold: minimum resolution, background, watermark detection.
- •Required fields: description length, spec completeness, dimension presence.
- •Pricing validation: margin floors, MAP compliance, MSRP sanity checks.
- •Variant confidence: low-confidence groupings flagged before publish.
1-Click Publish to Shopify / BigCommerce / WooCommerce
Approved products publish to your storefront in a single action. The platform handles every detail your store needs — no manual data entry into admin panels, ever.
- •Collection mapping: automatic placement based on category rules.
- •Pricing rules: markup formulas, tier-based pricing, MAP guards.
- •SEO metadata: title tags, meta descriptions, structured data.
- •Variant integrity: parent-child relationships preserved across platforms.
Business Impact
The ROI math is simple: every day a product sits unlisted is a day of lost revenue. At an average of $4.35 in daily revenue per listed SKU (Shopify Commerce Report, 2025), a 1,000-product catalog that takes 12 weeks to list manually loses roughly $365,000 in potential sales during the listing delay. Supplier-to-store automation compresses that 12-week window to days — and frees your e-commerce team to focus on merchandising, marketing, and customer experience instead of data entry.
Who Uses Supplier-to-Store
If your business depends on getting supplier products listed quickly and consistently, this is built for you. Five common use cases:
E-commerce Retailers Adding New Brand Lines
You onboard new suppliers regularly and each one ships catalogs in a different format. Seasonal buying windows close before manual listing finishes, costing you the launch revenue your category planning depended on.
Brick-and-Mortar Expanding Online
You have inventory on shelves but not on your website. Supplier data is bare-bones, you don’t have a dedicated e-commerce team, and hiring one isn’t realistic — but you need a real online catalog to compete.
Wholesale Distributors
You carry 10,000 to 500,000+ SKUs from dozens of suppliers. Most sit unlisted in your warehouse because the volume of catalog work is overwhelming. Every unlisted SKU is a missed B2B order.
Multi-Brand Retailers
You list dozens of brands and need consistent listing quality across every one. Manual processes guarantee inconsistency at scale — automation enforces the same standards across thousands of SKUs.
Drop-Shippers Scaling Assortment
Your competitive edge is breadth and speed. You need to launch hundreds of new SKUs per week, each with original copy and clean imagery — not the boilerplate descriptions your competitors are recycling from supplier feeds.

About the Service
CSV, Excel (XLS/XLSX), and direct supplier feeds. The platform handles messy supplier formats — inconsistent column names, mixed units, missing fields, extra whitespace — and normalizes everything automatically. You do not need to reformat supplier files before importing.
Most 1,000-product catalogs are fully researched, enriched, and ready for review within 24-48 hours — versus 6-12 weeks of manual work. Approved products publish to Shopify, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce immediately after review.
Descriptions are built from real research data — manufacturer specs, brand descriptions, competitor listings — not generated from thin air. The AI synthesizes information from multiple verified sources, which makes the output significantly more accurate than generic AI text. Quality gates flag any products where research confidence is low so those get human review before publishing.
Yes. You configure tone, style guidelines, description length, and formatting preferences. The platform applies your style rules across every generated description so they stay consistent with your brand. You can also edit any individual description before publishing.
Getting Started
Brainova Inventory publishes directly to Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce — the three platforms our customers use most. For other platforms, you can export enriched product data as a structured CSV for import into any system.
The AI analyzes product titles, descriptions, specifications, and images to identify products that are the same item in different sizes, colors, materials, or configurations. It groups them into parent-child variant relationships automatically — especially valuable for supplier catalogs that list every variant as a separate row with no grouping.
Re-import the updated CSV and the platform matches products by SKU or barcode, updating pricing, availability, and product data without creating duplicates. Changed fields are flagged for review so you can see exactly what the supplier updated before pushing changes live.
Pricing is custom and scoped to your catalog size, supplier complexity, and storefront integrations. Long-term contracts include a 30-day grace period. We do not offer free trials — book a demo and we will scope a quote against a real supplier CSV.
